The bridge over Chartiers Creek will be widened to seven lanes using Accelerated Bridge Construction techniques as part of this $10.78 million improvement project. The work is part of a major project to widen the bridge and add lanes. Work will include roadway excavation, widening, drainage improvements, utility work, signal updates, bridge foundation construction, retaining wall construction and pavement reconstruction. Lane closures will occur weekdays from 9 AM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 6 AM, and on weekends as needed, in each direction of Washington Pike, between James Street and Route 50, as well as on Chartiers Street, between Route 50 and Werner Street.
